The Democratic National Committee today announced that Minyon Moore will serve as Chair of the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Alex Hornbrook, who has led the convention selection process, will continue on as Executive Director of the convention. Other additions to the convention leadership team include Louisa Terrell, who will serve as a Senior Advisor to both the convention and the Biden-Harris campaign, and DNC Deputy Executive Director Roger Lau, who, in addition to his current duties, will also serve as a Senior Advisor to the Biden Victory Fund, where he will expand his political portfolio, including assisting with convention planning and execution.

“At the very beginning of the 2024 convention selection process I said that we were looking for a turnkey operation, and I am confident this leadership team will deliver,” said DNC Chair Jaime Harrison. “This team brings experience and expertise to the convention that are unmatched. I’m so proud of the team we continue to build to support President Biden and Vice President Harris and can’t wait to get to work with them to make this the best convention possible.”

Minyon Moore, a native of Chicago, currently serves as Principal at Dewey Square Group where she leads the State and Local Affairs and Multicultural Strategies practices with clients ranging from the Fortune 100 to startup non-profits seeking counsel for developing strategies that address emerging consumer markets and achieve public policy goals. She specializes in building coalitions and brand awareness strategies for corporations while at the same time effectively addressing their state and local public policy issues. Minyon also currently serves as a Co-Chair of the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee. She has previously served as Assistant to the President and Director of White House Political Affairs under President Clinton, and as CEO of the DNC where she was responsible for day-to-day operations and oversight of the party.

Louisa Terrell most recently served as President Biden’s Director of the White House Office of Legislative Affairs. Louisa previously served as Executive Director of the Biden Foundation, and as an advisor to the Chairman at the Federal Communications Commission. She has also served as Chief of Staff to Senator Cory Booker, Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs under President Obama, and as Deputy Chief of Staff to then-Senator Biden.

Alex Hornbrook currently serves as the DNC’s Director of Convention Planning, where he has led the 2024 convention selection process from the start. Prior to his role leading the convention process, Alex served as the DNC’s Director of Debate Planning. Alex has previously served as the Director of Scheduling and Advance for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and as Director of Scheduling to then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Roger Lau currently serves as Deputy Executive Director at the DNC. Roger came to the DNC from Senator Elizabeth Warren’s office, where he served as a Senior Advisor. He first began working for Senator Warren on her 2012 Senate campaign and more recently served as Campaign Manager to her 2020 presidential bid. Prior to his time with Senator Warren, Roger served in many roles on John Kerry’s Senate staff and campaigns. Roger has managed campaigns for several Senate and House congressional races in New England and also served in the Commerce Department during the Obama-Biden administration.
